Affiliate Disclosure
How affiliate links help keep The Foot Facts free and independent.
What this means for you
When you use an affiliate link on The Foot Facts and make a purchase, the retailer (for example, Amazon, Zappos, or Boot Barn) may pay us a small percentage of that sale. This doesn’t change the price you pay and doesn’t influence our editorial choices.
Why we use affiliate links
- They allow us to stay independent—no ads, no sponsored placements, no pay-to-play rankings.
- They cover basic site costs like hosting, analytics, and content production tools.
- They let us keep our guides free for everyone, without pop-ups or intrusive banners.
How we choose products
Our selections are based on independent research, verified product data, and worker feedback—not on commission potential. Some of the products we recommend don’t have affiliate programs at all, and we include them anyway when they’re the right fit.
Affiliate partners
We currently participate in affiliate programs including (but not limited to):
- Amazon Services LLC Associates Program
- Walmart Affiliate Program
- ShareASale and Impact Radius network partners (various boot brands and retailers)
Each program uses standard tracking links that let retailers know a visitor came from our site. This data helps us understand which guides help readers most.
Our promise of transparency
- Affiliate links are disclosed near the top of every guide, in plain English.
- We never accept payment for placement, ranking, or “featured” status.
- If we ever publish a sponsored post, it will be labeled “Sponsored.”
Legal disclaimer
The Foot Facts is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.com and affiliated sites.
